"Boombap Guardians Episode 1" entails a journey through the lifestyle of bringing Hip-Hop culture to our daily lives… not only as independent artists, but as human beings. The notion of social and society collapse, fallen friends, inner peace and the beauty it takes to stay up, true life stories written on paper and expressed through HipHop. Boombap Guardians has improved on the design of sample based Hip-Hop backed by heavy percussion, speaking English and Dutch languages with some serious grime. This project has been many years in the making, although the majoring of the tracks were recorded over the last 3 years. BBG is important to us in the following ways…the beginning of friendships…the end of an era, but truly not forgotten. In many ways Hip -Hop has saved our lives and helped us move forward. Id have to say this project entails how even HipHop can turn strangers into brothers.

Gilly MC:

An MC with the Surinam Roots Originally From Amsterdam . His Journey started with the Radioprgram Da Elementz in 2013. A member of Eastgarden Music since 2018, He also Released projects such as ´Op Eigen Kracht & Gilly´s M.I.N.D.Gilly has done many showcases for Mc´s such as Sixman, McGyver, Crooks, Mister Personal & K4M. Gilly is well known for his wordplay, conscious mind and spirit.

Self: the Bluest Eye:

A Canadian MC originally from Edmonton, Alberta. A member of The Liberators... alongside DJ Baggylean, John Press, and Kazmega. Self has collaborated with artists within his city, acts from the USA as well internationally with such artists as Klaus Layer from Germany and Da Shogunz from the Netherlands. Self has released multiple projects with the Liberators... and has featured on multiple releases from Da Shogunz. Influenced by 90s Era Hip Hop Culture, Self is known for his in-depth lyricism, witty wordplay, poetic and effortless cadence.

Dee:

Currently living in Edmonton Canada, member of the Outsiders Syndicate based in San Francisco USA, Dee started off his journey as a graffiti artist in the mid 90’s, writing led him into the Hip-Hop culture. With nearly 20 years since the beginning of producing, he’s managed to keep an authentic natural sound when it comes to the patterns and arrangements of his projects. With numerous independent albums, side projects and features, he’s shown nothing but true school Hip-Hop with unique style sample choices and hard hitting drum patterns, raising the bar towards how sample based music is made in this present day.

A German music producer and beat-maker based in the Hague, the Netherlands. Proud Eastgarden Music member and dedicated Hip Hop Head! Professionally active since 2009, Restless been making and studying music his whole life.
