Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Magic Ring and Base Stitches

Select a yarn of your choice and start by making a magic ring and chain 5 on the hook. Work 3 DC into the magic ring then work 2 chains.

Step 2: Completing Round 1

Repeat this pattern, (3 DC, 2 CH), 3 more times. But when you work ^3rd time, here work 2 DC instead of 3 DC (because you already worked Ch 5, and the CH 3 of 5 counts as 1 DC). Insert your hook into the very first 3^rd chain and make slip stitch.

Step 3: Starting Round 2

Slip stitch into the corner again, and it would look like a mini square. Work CH 3 here, this CH counts as 1 DC.

Step 4: Working on Round 2

Work 1 DC and CH 2, then 2 DC into the magic ring again, that’s how we make a corner. Work 3 DC into the next 3 space.
